Honda is recalling approximately 295,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a software error in the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU), which could cause the engine to stall or lose power, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports.
The issue stems from improper programming of the FI-ECU, which could trigger the check engine light, leading to a loss of drive power, hesitation, or stalling when the throttle is suddenly adjusted. This increases the risk of a crash or injury.
