Trump Teases, ‘You’re going to have a lot of fun watching television tomorrow,’ about his first day back in the Oval Office
President-elect Donald Trump outlined his plans for the early days of his administration during a Victory Rally in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, pledging a series of executive orders aimed at making voters “extremely happy.”
“Tomorrow, you’re going to see executive orders that will make you extremely happy—lots of them,” Trump said. “We have to set our country on the right course. By the time the sun sets tomorrow, the invasion of our borders will end, and all illegal border trespassers will be on their way back home.”
Fox News Digital reported that Trump plans to sign over 200 executive actions on his first day in office.
He also promised to undo “every radical and foolish executive order” from the Biden administration within hours of taking the oath. “You’re going to have a lot of fun watching television tomorrow,” he added.
Trump also committed to making “remaining records” regarding the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. publicly available. He announced plans to begin constructing a “Great Iron Dome missile defense shield” and focus on rebuilding North Carolina after recent hurricanes. Regarding January 6th protesters, he hinted they would be “very, very happy.”
“With the American people’s trust, we’re going to have the best first day, the biggest first week, and the most extraordinary first 100 days of any presidency,” Trump declared, highlighting his all-star cabinet of “patriots and visionary reformers” to help achieve his agenda.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the immigration crisis with a “massive deportation operation” larger than any seen before. “We’re going to end the Biden war on American energy and unleash our resources to quickly defeat inflation,” he said.
Trump’s speech marked his final address as president-elect ahead of his inauguration on Monday. The rally featured several notable supporters, including Kid Rock, Lee Greenwood, UFC CEO Dana White, Elon Musk, and actor Jon Voight, who called Trump “the 47th president of the United States of America.”
Trump downplayed President Biden’s credit for securing a hostage release and ceasefire deal with Hamas, asserting that his administration played a key role in the agreement. Trump concluded his speech with a vow to “Make America Great Again,” declaring, “It all starts tomorrow.”
